Co-operative Staff Training Institute:
Agricultural Co-operative Staff Training Institute (ACSTI) of Kerala
State Co-operative Bank was established in the year 1992. The Institute
conducts training programme and workshops for the personnel and
Directors of the entire Co-operative short-term Credit Structure
comprising State Co-operative Bank, District Co-operative Banks,
Urban Co-operative Banks, and Service Co-operative Banks.
The
training programmes organized by ACSTI encompass areas of its core
competence such as Organisation Development, Finance Management,
Development Action Plan, Financing Farm and Non-Farm Sector, Micro
Finance, Project Finance and Human Resource Development. We sincerely
thank our clients for the good response shown towards our training
programme, which have won wide appreciation across the State.
The
Co-operative Banks are now in the midst of challenges, which have
not been faced by them so far. In the wake of structural changes
in the Banking field, the Co-operative banks are required to be
professional to remain competitive without losing their market share.
Towards this end the Institute has been conducting training programme
to suit the needs of various categories of staff of Co-operative
Credit Institutions in the State.The training programme of the Institute
are reviewed every year in the light of client feed back and their
specific demands, changes in policy environment and the training
contents and design are suitably modified. Sincere efforts are made
to upgrade and update the training inputs on an ongoing basis. It
is the ACSTI's ethos to stay in touch with the field realities and
provide solutions to operational problems faced by the co-operative
banks through training.
The
training programme are thoroughly vetted by the Academic Council
and Standing Committee of the Institute.The Institute has excellent
infrastructure facilities of its own with well furnished class rooms
with audio-visual equipment like LCD Projector, Over Head Projector
etc. to make learning more effective and interesting. A hostel with
self contained 30 rooms (accommodation capacity of 60 participants)
dining hall and lounge along with facilities for recreation is available.
The canteen of the Institute is now being run by the Institute itself.The
training calendar of ACSTI for the year 2008-2009 outlines the broad
contents and coverage of the training programmes in various functional
areas that will be conducted at our campus.
The
time schedule of all the programmes planned for the year is also
furnished in the calendar for your convenience. We hope that the
calendar will be useful to our clients for chalking out their manpower
development plans and training schedule.
We
are sure that Kerala State Co-operative Bank, District Co-operative
Banks and Service Co-operative Banks/Societies, Farmers Co-operative
Banks, Regional Co-operative Banks and Co operative Rural Banks
in the State will make best use of our training programme. Please
bestow your personal attention and identify the persons to be trained
for various training programme well in advance and prepare a comprehensive
list of both Directors and Staff and nominate them, in the format
enclosed, to the training as per schedule. Please ensure that only
those target groups as shown in each training programme are nominated
to the concerned programme and that those nominated are attending
the programme without fail.The Institute will conduct a study tour-cum-pleasure
trip for the participants of each training programme at its own
cost. The training fee will continue to be Rs.200 per day per trainee
which has to be remitted by the participants from PACS in cash at
the time of registration on the first day of the training and obtain
receipt of the same. However the training fees of the participants
from KSCB and DCBs will be demanded by the Institute at the end
of each quarter and the amount has to be paid in the form of demand
draft drawn in favour of the Director, ACSTI payable at Head Office
Branch of Kerala State Co-operative Bank Ltd.
We
once again invite the Directors, employees and Officers of the three
tier Co-operative Credit Structure to participate in our training
programmes. We attach utmost importance to the relevance of'our
training programmes to the needs of our clients. We would, therefore,
welcome suggestions, opinions and advice from our clients which
will help us to deliver client centered long-term training solutions
for capacity and commitment building for the development of Co-operative
Credit Institutions.
We
also invite suggestion of new training programmes which are not
included in the calendar, to be conducted in the Institute campus.
