Arvind Kejriwal and BJP candidate Pravesh Verma, son of former CM Sahib Singh Verma, have been considered as contenders for CM but, this time if Arvind Kejriwal wins the election from New Delhi seat, the chances of Aam Aadmi Party forming the government are looking less, then in such a situation the myth of the candidate from this seat becoming the Chief Minister may be broken.

At the same time, if BJP candidate Pravesh Verma wins the election and in that situation BJP government is formed, then it cannot be said that BJP will make Pravesh Verma the Chief Minister. Even if Arvind Kejriwal wins the election from New Delhi seat and the Aam Aadmi Party government comes to power, there is little possibility of Kejriwal becoming the Chief Minister again because due to the ongoing ED case in the liquor scam, the Supreme Court, while granting bail to Kejriwal as Chief Minister, had also imposed many conditions regarding his functioning.
